Dentists and office staff have an obligation to be prepared to manage a medical emergency. Patients rely on and expect this. However, due to how infrequently dentists encounter medical emergencies, response proficiency may be lacking.

 

Topics to be Covered:

How to prevent emergencies from occurring, including methods for anxiety management
Learning which parts of the medical history evaluation require further action.
Understanding vital signs and what they convey.
the latest basic life support protocols.
How to use an AED.
The six emergency drugs dentists must have available, how and when to use them, and how to store them.
